Flowers and Fairies

Flower crowns and fairies for a fifth birthday -- what could be more darling?! Today I am so excited to show you the details of my daughter's birthday at Lace and Lilies (in Fort Collins, CO) the most adorable and beautiful flower studio I have ever seen!

In brainstorming ideas for the party, I had contacted them and once they had said they could do the party, I was set on this idea of making fresh flower crowns. I then took to Etsy to search for fairy invitations, and after presenting my daughter with about 5 options she picked this one, and a beautiful pairing was made to kick this party off. Given this invitation, throughout the decor we had different fairies, lots of flowers, and we added hints of rainbows here and there as well.

Each girl in attendance received fairy wings of their own, which my daughter handed out with excitement as her friends filled in the space. Once everyone was there, the girls were given directions to start creating their crowns! Each space had a vase filled with flowers for each girl to use. Then, they got creating. My daughter very thoughtfully picked which flowers went where in her crown, and I helped her put it together.

I think the girls had a great time creating these. As I wanted my son to be included (it is actually his birthday as well - more on that later), he even created a crown for me. He was resistant to the idea, but once he started he even said "This is actually really fun!" Once done, all the crowns looked great, and the girls looked so adorable wearing them. Paired with their wings, they were the cutest little group of fairies ever!

As this party was in the morning, we decided to do donuts in lieu of a cake or cupcakes, which was a great hit. I had cookies made as well and let each girl choose between the two options, and was shocked when all but one went for the donuts! I added a little flower detail on the chocolate donuts to tie them into the theme, which worked wonders. In addition to the donuts, we had yogurts, fresh berries, and my daughters favorite drink - orange juice - in the cutest of cups (shown above) with rainbow straws. Drinks are always better with adorable straws, in my opinion! Overall, I was beyond thrilled with how this turned out. Such a fun morning celebrating my little Harlow.

Thank you for stopping by today to check out the details of this adorable flowers and fairies party! As I mentioned earlier, it is my sons birthday (they share the same day!), so today we are onto his birthday party.

Until next time friends, XOXO!
