A piece of my journey

A year ago, my husband and I were on our way out of town when I received an unexpected message that made my body fill with excitement, energy, and if I'm being honest, nerves. A successful business woman (whom also happens to be my husbands Aunt) had contacted me out of the blue, and was asking me if I'd be interested in planning a customer appreciation event for her to host for her clients. At that time, I had only ever dreamed of having a business where I would get to do that for people. I had so many times said "I would plan and design events" when asked that sometimes occurring question, "if you could do anything at all for work, what would it be?"

She had attended parties I had planned previous to that, and had said she knew it was a gift of mine and would love to work with me for what she had in mind. I was beyond honored. To have someone else identify something that was a passion of mine, something I had only ever dreamed of doing beyond hobby, was very influential. It was a pivotal moment in bringing me to where I am now, with On Point Events. So, Michelle, I thank you immensely still for that.

Planning and executing the event for Michelle was a blast. She is a creative mastermind, and has just the very best energy about her. We had fun brainstorming, envisioning, and planning. The event was a great show of gratitude and love for the amazing women Michelle works with on a regular basis. It was an incredible tribe of women; an inspiration in positivity, support and connection.

The event turned out beautifully. Every detail was connected to Michelle's business and brand. The theme of the night was "Be Celebrated." It had influence of copper and jade throughout. Many gifts were provided to attendees and each were thoughtfully packaged and coordinated. A 3 course meal was prepared and displayed beautifully, with so much thought given to the aesthetic as well as ease for guests to enjoy. Frames and flowers hung from a large tree, and a station for guests to "be inspired, be creative" was a fun way for guests to spend some time.

I'll leave with this final though... never underestimate the power of believing in someone. Or, sharing what you see as their gifts in this world. For me, it has had a lasting impression on my life. What a gift she gave me! And now, a year later, I'm so glad this journey in life has brought me to where I am now!
